“ALL I EVER WANTED / WAS TO BELONG WITH YOU”
ART RESIDENCY IN LANDERS, CALIFORNIA

In the spring of 2021, I took myself back to my home state of California. I was lucky to be the first Art Scout at the HiLo Homestead in Yucca Valley, home to artists and homesteaders, Prescott McCarthy and Mieka May Ginsburg.
There, I was able to set up shop in an old shipping container and was gifted a couple boxes of canvases. This piece is being dispersed to 36 different buyers, with an invitation to dinner ten years in the future, 2031, where they will reassemble the mural- like a grief time capsule. Some things are too big to hold on your own.
